Code Club Aotearoa is coming to Wellington

explore-assurity 4 March 2015

Assurity is hosting the first Meetup of Code Club Aotearoa Wellington next Wednesday 11 March.

Code Club Aotearoa – a nationwide network of volunteer-led, after-school coding clubs for kids – launched in October last year and now has 50+ clubs throughout NZ.

Now it’s Wellington’s turn to join the bid to grow the number of clubs to 250 by the end of this year.

This first Wellington Meetup and launch event will introduce Scratch and the Code Club projects and match up schools and volunteers.

Teachers of kids in years five to eight and anyone from the IT industry interested in being a volunteer are invited to come along to hear the Code Club story and what’s involved in setting up new clubs at local primary/intermediate schools.

Sign up for the event on the Meetup page.
