We’re excited to be celebrating our 15th year since starting Assurity. We warmly welcome you to celebrate with us on 10 November at Rydges Latimer Christchurch.

During the event, Garth Hamilton, CEO of Assurity Consulting, will be sharing our new business strategy, market offerings and how we help our clients thrive in the fast-changing digital world.

We’re extremely honoured to have Shaun Maloney, CEO of Seequent, as our guest speaker. Under Shaun’s leadership, Seequent has grown to more than 400 people in 20 locations around the world. A proven transformational leader, Shaun will share how he led his team, developed and drove the strategy, managed risk, achieved returns and grew Seequent into a full-service software provider with a global presence.

Shaun Maloney, CEO, Seequent

Shaun Maloney is the Chief Executive Officer at Seequent. Shaun has a background in international banking and has provided strategic direction to New Zealand technology businesses. With experience in both small start-ups and large-scale commercial operations, he brings the unique know-how required to concurrently manage both current and future opportunities for successful business growth.

In 2014, Shaun was awarded a Prime Minister’s Business Scholarship to study at Harvard Business School and London Business School on innovation, emerging markets, strategy for value creation and global business leadership.

In 2014, Pencarrow Private Equity secured an equity stake in Seequent to help drive growth into new markets. Seequent’s continued success has been recognised by a number of business and technology awards. In 2018, leading Silicon Valley technology focused private equity firm Accel-KKR became the company’s majority shareholder, with Pencarrow remaining as a shareholder. The investment and additional support from Accel-KKR will further drive Seequent’s rapid global expansion, including new market development, product innovation and further acquisitions.

Garth Hamilton, CEO, Assurity

As the CEO and co-founder of Assurity Consulting (Assurity), Garth Hamilton is responsible for running all facets of the business including company strategy. Garth is passionate about improving the delivery of software and co-founded Assurity to fulfill that passion. He has a proven executive management track record and over 30 years of experience successfully starting, growing and leading IT services and software companies in New Zealand.

Prior to starting Assurity Consulting, Garth was the Deputy CEO and Wellington General Manager at Fronde (previously Synergy International), responsible for the growth and development of Fronde’s software development business.

Garth holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Operations Research from the University of Canterbury.
