Recognising the indispensable role of testing in its enterprise resource planning software rollout, Pan Pac Forest Products (Pan Pac) has selected Assurity Consulting for the delivery of key quality assurance services as it implements its SAP business applications.

Pan Pac is a forest products company based at Whirinaki, near Napier, New Zealand. The company includes forestry operations, manufacturing and sales of wood pulp and lumber products, employing over 400 staff. Pan Pac has selected SAP ERP to manage its operations, with consulting firm Accenture leading the project.

Assurity’s CEO Steve Mitchell says a rigorous approach to quality assurance is a key factor in achieving a successful ERP implementation. “Enterprise software projects are notoriously demanding, with oft-cited reasons for shortcomings prominently including inadequate testing and user training. By engaging Assurity Consulting early in the project, Pan Pac is mitigating risk with a comprehensive approach to quality assurance, helping achieve optimal outcomes for this key initiative.”

Mitchell notes that Assurity won the tender after demonstrating and showcasing an extensive track record of success in quality assuring key ERP technology rollouts. With proven capabilities in Test Strategy and Management, Test Automation and leveraging techniques from its Business Analysis, Agile, DevOps and Design Thinking services, Assurity takes a human-centered approach to testing, putting users at the centre of test design and execution while working hand-in-glove with ERP implementation partners.

“We are delighted to be chosen as Pan Pac’s test partner. We look forward to combining our test experience and innovation and working towards the delivery of quality software in support of the Pan Pac’s work,” Mitchell concludes.
