About the Team:
Our DevOps team are expert practitioners who are leaders in the community. You’ll find they’re always ready for a good laugh, and chances are pretty high there will be snacks. They have a passion for “paying it forward”, most are involved in DevOpsDays or bootcamps for students as well as developing education courses that really help change our clients for the better.
We’re looking for a DevOps Coach with a passion for culture change, and educating others to be thoughtful and innovative in their delivery of customer outcomes. You’ve been in the trenches and influenced leadership and teams to improve the development and infrastructure environments, seen the gaps and joined them up. Your technical expertise is equally important to your ability to be human and influence others.
Some of what you will do:
You’ll be working with our clients to help them into the modern age of technology and help future proof their technology strategy. By doing this you’ll have a direct impact on the New Zealand public's experiences with software and services.
In this coaching role you’ll be elevating the skills of the DevOps community, sharing your knowledge and experience. You’ll do this by immersing yourself in our client's teams, as well as running classroom based training. Check out the Foundations of DevOps course on our website to get an idea.
This role brings variety, whilst coaching is the main focus you’ll still be somewhat hands-on and you’ll also have the opportunity to be involved in our Partner relationships (such as PagerDuty and CloudBees) as well doing tech implementations and pre-sales if you wish.
What you’ll bring with you:
You’ll have demonstrated experience helping teams to improve the speed of software delivery, standing up infrastructure as code, creating deployment pipelines and building monitoring solutions.
Our aim is to leave our clients in a much better position than when we joined them, so you’ll be able to show how you’ve mentored others so they have built the capability to identify constraints and improve delivery independently.
You’ll find yourself working with tools such as Azure, AWS, Jenkins, Docker, Terraform, PagerDuty, Git, Concourse, Cucumber, JMeter. Although these are just some of the tools we have, you don’t have to fit in a ‘tool box’, we would love you to bring different experiences.
What’s in it for you?
You'll get to work with a team that are really passionate about what they do, gain exposure to different businesses, tools and technical environments. Other benefits include ongoing professional development, health, life and income protection insurance, the ability to purchase additional annual leave and wellness initiatives throughout the year.
