Akshay is fascinated by how things work and perpetually curious about designing better experiences for people. Naturally gifted in maths, physics, and science, Akshay's career began studying medical electronics engineering in India before completing a Masters in Engineering Management at The University of Auckland.
With extensive global experience in the technology and software industries, Akshay is not content with the boundaries of traditional engineering disciplines. His curiosity has led him to focus on user experience and understand the impact of design on people's lives. This has included extensive study in behavioral psychology and the nature of human decision-making to drive the development of our customer-centric service offering.

Akshay has worked across various industries and organisations in New Zealand and likes to combine left and right-brain perceptual thinking to form a unique bridge between customer insight and technology delivery.

Akshay can help you rapidly find clarity from ambiguity and is comfortable working at both speed and scale.

Cole's journey began with a career in fashion design, where she developed an eye for detail and spotting market changes well ahead of them, becoming fully-fledged trends. Harnessing this algorithm for change, Cole has worked in manufacturing, insurance, and business sectors, fostering high-performing teams and empowering them to deliver innovative products, services, and environments.

She has advised businesses ranging from start-ups to multinationals, and her approach brings a fine balance of provocation and pragmatism to every engagement. Using empathy, she helps align teams around customer value delivery while coaching leaders to overcome the inertia that can stifle innovation.

Since joining Assurity, Cole has led several engagements with Lion, DXMail, and Auckland Transport. Before this, she held a senior role in Innovation for IAG Insurance and worked with SME's in both innovation and business advisory space. She has a BA Hons in Design Management, Ideo trained in HCD, and is a judge for Westpac Business Awards.
