As one of New Zealand's top 50 CIO's, Neville operates as a business leader, technology evangelist and change agent with over 25 years Information Systems and business experience.
In his current role as CIO, he oversees the Global IS function of one of New Zealand's most customer centric and innovative technology businesses. By leveraging world class governance and innovative business delivery techniques, he actively sets technology strategy supporting the company’s growth objectives and driving continuous improvement across the entire organisation, and is looking forward to continuing this journey in his new role.
He has a proven track record in corporate environments (including two of the worlds top 15 brands), with measurable success and innovation across the entire business value chain, providing executive oversight and leadership in:
Prior to taking the role at Gallagher, Neville had been CIO in another of New Zealand’s Iconic brands, and previous to that held senior IS and procurement roles at a leading premium automotive manufacturer, working in UK, Germany, South Africa and China.
As a professional business leader with over 28 years of senior management experience in New Zealand, Australia, and Asia, Verdon is well-known for his skills in leadership, product and business development, sales, business transformation, and marketing. He has a passion for all things IOT and problem-solving through the use of data.
Verdon's upbringing on a high country farm instilled in him versatility, hard work, and loyalty. He has lived in Christchurch, Wellington, and Auckland, and worked extensively in Asia and Australia. Verdon's ability to thrive in diverse situations, ranging from presenting to large groups to one-on-one meetings with company owners or government ministers, is a key strength.
Throughout his career, Verdon has developed a broad international network, which he leveraged during his time at Vault, IBM, and Samsung. The network created has been invaluable in taking products to a global market.
In recent years, Verdon has also become involved in charity work, broadening his outlook, knowledge, and network. He has a proven track record of getting large, strategic deals done that are mutually beneficial and rewarding for both the vendor and the customer.
Melissa Muirhead is the founder of The Great Work Lab, a company that helps clients globally to create better workplaces. She specialises in Growth Mindset and Design Thinking, offering coaching services to leaders worldwide.
Melissa's 20 years of corporate experience include a Global HR Director role for Finance at Heineken, managing 5,000 people across 80 countries. She is a qualified coach, with accreditation in various psychometric and team effectiveness tools.
Melissa studied Design Thinking at INSEAD business school, which she has applied globally to organizations facing complex problems. She is an expert in Organisational Design using the HPO methodology, combined with Design Thinking to design future-fit organizations. Melissa's work is all about taking performance theory and research and making them practically applicable in the workplace. She believes in measuring effectiveness and using data to support real people development work.
Now based in New Zealand, Melissa enjoys working with fascinating organizations worldwide while gazing out at the beauty of Aotearoa's mountains.
