Agile is all about software development right? So, since you don’t work in IT, you don’t have to worry about it right? Wrong! ‘Digital transformation’ is the catchphrase de jour. Organisations realise that success in the modern workplace is not just dependent on producing better quality software that delights clients at greater speed.
Successful organisations of the future need to react more quickly to changes in the marketplace; they need to rapidly identify the next thing their clients need and deliver it before someone else does.

They are comfortable with the unknown because they are happy to run small experiments to learn as they go. They can identify the smallest thing they can do to deliver value that allows them to gather feedback so that the next thing they do is more likely to be the right thing. Notice that this discussion is about work in general, not about software delivery.
Yes, Agile has evolved from the mysterious world of software development but, increasingly, the Agile way of thinking and working is flowing out into all levels of the organisation. So are you sure you can afford to be a bystander?
