A new chapter: going far, together

Birds migrating

Kia ora and hello everyone,

There is an old African proverb that has been on my mind lately:

For 20 years, Assurity has “gone alone.” We have moved fast, built a unique culture, and grown to become the leading quality consultancy in New Zealand and Australia. We have delivered some of the largest transformations in the region’s history and helped our clients navigate massive technological change.

But the industry is shifting again – faster than ever before.

The rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rewriting the rules of software delivery. To thrive in this new world – and to ensure we continue offering the absolute best to our clients and our people – we recognised that we should not solely rely on our own resources. We needed scale, we needed global investment capability, and we needed world-class AI tools.

We have chosen to go far

Today, I am incredibly proud to announce that Assurity has joined the Aspire Systems family.

Aspire is a global technology services firm with over 4,500 people across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Like us, they are a company that puts people and culture first.

What does this mean for you? If you are a client or a partner in New Zealand or Australia, it is business as usual – but with a much bigger toolkit.

  • Our brand: We are still Assurity. My name is still on the door (metaphorically), and I am staying on as Managing Director.
  • Our teams: Our branches in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Manila, and Brisbane aren’t going anywhere. You will continue working with the local experts you trust.
  • Our capabilities: We now have access to Aspire’s global centres of excellence and their proprietary AI testing frameworks. We are combining our local expertise with their global scale to create a Testing and Quality Engineering practice of 900-plus specialists.

Why Aspire?

We didn’t take this decision lightly. We looked for a partner who shared our values. When we met Gowri Shankar Subramanian (Aspire’s CEO) and his team, we felt an immediate synergy. They are a privately owned company that cares about its people, recently winning awards for their culture. They bought us because they value what we have built here in Australasia, and they want to help us grow it, not dismantle it.

It has been a privilege leading this company for the last two decades, “going alone.” I am even more excited about where we can go now that we are part of a global group.

Thank you for your continued trust and support.

Ngā mihi,

Garth Hamilton
Co-founder and Managing Director, Assurity New Zealand
Co-founder and Director, Assurity Australia
