David Shackleton brings a practical and analytical approach to quality engineering, with experience across test analysis, test leadership, API testing, automation support, and stakeholder engagement.
Since joining Assurity through its Fresh Start programme, David has progressed from Test Analyst to Test Lead, working extensively on Inland Revenue’s digital services and transformation programmes. His experience includes requirements analysis, test planning and execution, test impact assessments, API and integration testing, and supporting automation assets. He also helps coordinate testing across release cycles, supporting team members and digital service providers to keep delivery on track.
More recently, David has expanded his experience into AI, working as an AI Prompt Engineer on Assurity’s Intelligence Pilot and using prompt design and refinement to support test case generation. David brings a calm, collaborative approach to his work and enjoys learning, solving problems, and helping teams deliver quality outcomes.
