Our journey began in 2005, driven by a profound frustration with the state of software development. Darren McTigue (co-founder and Director) and I observed an industry grappling with poor quality, adversarial relationships, and flawed delivery processes. We had a vision for something different – a company built on professionalism, trust, and an unwavering commitment to quality. That vision became Assurity Consulting.

From bespoke software solutions to enterprise-grade cloud platforms, we have upheld a dual commitment: building the right thing and building it right. Through two decades of innovation and profound industry shifts, one truth remains unchanged – quality is the foundation of everything we do.

The AI revolution is shaping a new frontier for software quality assurance, one that is uncharted and constantly evolving. No one can predict the full impact of AI, but one thing is certain – it will redefine not only our industry, but every aspect of our professional and personal lives.

AI accelerates development cycles, introduces non-deterministic behaviours, and requires vigilant oversight, particularly as it may produce varied responses to identical prompts. In this dynamic environment, quality assurance is more crucial than ever.  However, it necessitates the development of new approaches to quality.

While some view AI with apprehension, we see it as a transformative force, perhaps the most significant one ever. History has shown that every powerful new tool delivers a net benefit once we learn to take full advantage of all that it offers.  As with any advancement, adoption and adaptation are key.

Our specialised AI-driven initiative, Assurity Intelligence, represents our commitment to empowering clients with confidence as they navigate the age of AI. Soft-launched and continuously evolving, Assurity AI marks the next chapter in our mission to redefine quality assurance.  Assurity AI allows us to focus on what really matters in each project.
More broadly, we are redefining our role as a Quality Engineering consultancy, embedding quality throughout the product lifecycle – not just at the testing phase. Our approach strikes a balance between unique problem-solving with practicality. Quality by Design addresses complex, bespoke projects, while Quality Solutions offers cost-effective assurance for widely adopted cloud platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce, and Workday.

Looking ahead with confidence

As we celebrate 20 years, and step into an era of unprecedented change, we remain guided by a singular purpose: delivering quality.
