Assurity Consulting (Assurity) today announced Alex Skinner, previously Partner of KPMG, has been appointed as the new interim independent Chair of the Board, effective 1 June 2022.

A professional Director who is passionate about and committed to the entities he is involved with, Skinner has extensive experience across many industries through 29 years in the Chartered Accounting environment and more recently as a Director and Trustee.
Skinner left KPMG in 2016 after 20 years, during which he spent 12 years as a Partner. He has successfully built a portfolio of governance roles at notable organisations such as Christchurch City Holdings, Otautahi Community Housing Trust, Quotable Value, Royal New Zealand Plunket Trust, Effectus Limited, and more. He has been involved in capital raising on the NZDX and the start-up of a significant charitable entity in the community housing sector with a particular focus on stakeholder relationships, funding, finance, risk management, processes, and controls.
