Assurity Consulting (Assurity), New Zealand’s leading authority in quality digital service delivery, is selected as a finalist in ‘Employer of the Year’ and ‘People’s Choice’ awards at this year’s Westpac Auckland Business Awards.
The high-profile awards celebrate innovation and creativity in the business sector and have been a highlight of Auckland’s business calendar for over 15 years. This year’s awards attracted more than 1000 entries from organisations across New Zealand’s biggest city.
On being selected as a finalist for the ‘Employer of the Year’ award for the Central region, Steve Mitchell, CEO, Assurity Consulting, has this to say, “To be recognised as a finalist amongst other great businesses has boosted our confidence and morale. We’ve operated in New Zealand since 2005 and have always prided ourselves on being a Kiwi company serving Kiwi clients. We are first, second, and third a people business.”
He says Assurity’s people are the company’s promise and the basis for its reputation. “We recognise this through our annual Graduate Program, our ongoing commitment to Learning & Development, and our focus on treating people as individuals through their work experience with us. From the very first day of the company 17 years ago, we have hired on values alignment as criteria equal to the requisite technical skills for any role.”
Mitchell adds that Assurity doesn’t just want to win an Employer of the Year accolade. “Instead, we want to be the best employer possible. That’s how we attract and retain the best people.”
Aron Chantelau, GM, People & Capability, Assurity, says the company has introduced innovative recruitment and retention practices in support of its business strategy. “It’s great to be recognised for our employment experience, and we will continue to roll out programs and initiatives that inspire brilliant people to connect with our organisation and deliver exceptional service to our clients,” he notes.
“We were equally stoked when we found out we’ve been selected as one of the finalists in the ‘People’s Choice Award’ – which we know is a result of the votes we’ve been given by our staff, friends, family, clients, and partners. While we’re certainly hoping for a win, we can’t wait to celebrate along with the other worthy finalists at the Awards Dinner in November,” concludes Mitchell.
