Assurity wins Wellington International Student Excellence Award (International Student Workplace) award

Date: 10 November 2021

Assurity Consulting Limited (Assurity) today announced that it has been selected as the winner of the ‘International Student Workplace’ award. This award is part of the ‘Wellington International Student Excellence Awards’ organised annually by WellingtonNZ to recognise high-achieving international students in the Wellington region who excelled academically, in the arts, sport, community or online.

“We are extremely happy to be recognised and selected to win the ‘International Student Workplace’ award,” says Aron Chantelau, GM, People & Capability, Assurity.

“The award is a testament to the effort the team at Assurity have put in to help integrate international students and graduates into our workplace. We have organised multiple Employer Connect events and activities that promote international student and graduate inclusion and diversity in the workplace, and help support, settle and develop our international students/graduates at Assurity and in Aotearoa New Zealand. Our senior recruitment consultant, Sam Hooper, had also personally invested time volunteering for the ‘Work Ready’ programme supporting international students with their CV and cover letters, thereby improving their chances of landing the jobs they desire.”

Recruiting international students as a component of Assurity’s annual Graduate and FreshStart programs is ongoing and something we’ve committed to for over 15 years. To-date, we have recruited and supported 10 international students on post-study work visas, helping these individuals establish their careers and start a life in Aotearoa New Zealand, and we will continue to support the international student community wherever we can as part of our talent recruitment strategy.”
